Yes. My minimum is $400, which covers setup, design time, and a small single-session piece. Most pieces run $400 to $1600 per session. Larger projects — sleeves, back pieces, multi-session realism, Japanese compositions — are quoted hourly at $280/hr after the consultation locks the design.

A $200 non-refundable deposit secures your appointment and is applied to your final price. It covers the design time I spend before we meet — usually two to four hours of drawing, more for larger or denser pieces.

Setup, sterilization, design time, and aftercare materials are the same for a one-inch piece as for a six-inch piece. The minimum makes sure those costs are covered and keeps my chair available for clients who book longer sessions.

For straightforward small pieces — yes, I can estimate from your form submission. For realism, large-scale work, cover-ups, and anything multi-session, the consultation is required. There are too many variables (placement, detail, skin tone, session count) to quote responsibly without seeing the canvas and talking through the design.

After your request, we book a consultation — usually in person at the studio, or over video if you're out of town. We lock placement, scale, reference, and session count. I draw your design custom and send it ahead of the first session so there's time for one round of changes.

That's the most common starting point. Send what you have — a feeling, a reference, a rough shape — and we shape it together at the consultation. Custom work leaves a lot of room to refine. Most of my pieces look quite different from the first reference a client sends.

Yes. I send the finished design two to four days before your session, with time for one round of changes. Day-of-session edits are limited to small adjustments — anything structural means we reschedule.

No walk-ins — I'm appointment-only. I do release small flash sheets a few times a year (anatomical studies, daggers, classical motifs). Those are bookable through the form like any other piece.

Most sessions run three to six hours depending on the style and scale. Larger projects — sleeves, back pieces, dense realism — run six to eight. We schedule breaks every 90 minutes. If you've never sat for a long session before, we'll ease in with a shorter day and adjust from there.

Eat a full meal two hours before. Hydrate well the day before. Wear loose clothing that gives me access to the placement. Avoid alcohol the night before and caffeine the morning of. Bring water, snacks, and entertainment for the breaks.

Give me 48 hours notice and your deposit moves to the new date once. Less than 48 hours or a second reschedule requires a new deposit. Emergencies are handled case-by-case — message me as soon as you know.

One guest is fine. The studio is small and quiet, and that's deliberate — it keeps focus on the work. Please don't bring a group, and keep phone calls outside the room.

Yes — one free touch-up within six months of healing if the piece settles unevenly. Touch-ups on pieces I didn't tattoo are quoted separately. Touch-ups requested years later, or after sun damage, are also quoted.

Message me a photo in daylight. Most things people worry about (scabbing, peeling, dull color in the first month) are normal. Real warning signs — fever, hot/painful swelling, streaking redness — mean see a doctor first, then message me.

Single-use needles every session, autoclave-sterilized tooling, fully licensed and inspected. The studio is wiped between every appointment and deep-cleaned weekly. Health authority license is posted at reception.

Hands and neck — yes, for clients with existing significant work. Face — no. I want clients who walk into face tattoos with both eyes open, and most of mine don't qualify.

Currently 3–6 months from consultation to first session. Multi-session projects fill earlier — start the conversation sooner than you think you need to.

Yes. About a quarter of my work is for clients flying in. Consultations happen over video; the session schedules around your travel. I can recommend places to stay near the studio.

A clear concept (even rough), two to four reference images, your size and placement, and an honest budget range. Specificity helps me give you a real plan. "Anything in your style" is the hardest brief to work from.
